Unsilenced: My road to activism

We are proud to have the founder of BLM in Indiana join Human Library Fort Wayne. Shamanique Hall speaks truth to power regarding the barriers she faces with BLM as well as in her role as peace rally organizer and in her job as a corrections officer.

It wasn’t always easy for Sham to speak her truth. For years she kept silent about her past - being raped as a young girl, becoming a teen mom, navigating divorce, and raising a biracial child.

Shamanique chose the title Un-silenced: My Road to Activism because hers is a journey of learning to not only speak out for herself, but for others who need her strength to amplify their own voices.
